Lydia Cooper: Fred, New Year’s, and Sentient Armies

Mercy: Happy New Year’s everyone! Thanks for being here, Lydia!

Lydia: Thanks for having me.

Mercy: Alright, let’s get right down to business: age, grade, and siblings.

Lydia: I’m 13 and in 8th grade. I have 3 brothers, Ezra, Isaiah, and Silas.

Mercy: Nice, me too. Where do you live?

Lydia: Kuwait.

Mercy: Cool.

Fred: Actually? No way, that’s where I’m originally from.

Lydia: That’s so cool.

Mercy: Fred! You’re back. Where have you been?

Fred: Chasing down a sentient army of evil baby cria that were trying to take over clay forever.

Lydia: Oh wow, thanks for doing that.

Fred: No problem. Sorry I missed that last one, but while I’m here, I might as well help go on with the interview. Lydia, what TPS classes are you taking?

Lydia: English 1 and Physical Science.

Fred: Just two, nice. What’s a fun fact about you?

Lydia: Hm, I’ve read the entire Harry Potter series in 8 days.

Mercy: Wow, that’s impressive.

Lydia: Thanks.

Fred: If you could sum yourself up in 3 words, what would they be?

Lydia: I’d say: caring, funny, and loyal.

Mercy: Sounds awesome.

Fred: What’s your favorite New Year’s tradition?

Mercy: Wait, how did you know what the new question was?

Fred: Remember back when I first came in, and I explained to you we have this telepathic thing going on.

Mercy: Oh, back when Micah turned into an elf. That time?

Fred: Yep. But anyway, back to the main point of this article: Lydia.

Lydia: Thanks, I would say probably staying up ’til midnight.

Fred: Great, what about some of your talents?

Lydia: I’m a really fast reader, and I can play violin.

Mercy: That’s cool, what about some of your hobbies?

Lydia: Reading, writing, and rubber band bracelet making.

Fred: Cool. If money was no object, what would you do all day?

Lydia: I’d buy a library for sure.

Fred: Nice, what a fun story that happened to you?

Lydia: Well, one time my friend came over for a sleepover. We woke up early, and my dad thought we were robbers. He was ready to call the police.

Mercy: Wow, that’s fun. What are some of your favorites?

Lydia: I’d say teal, pink, and rollerblading.

Mercy: I love rollerblading. Alright just a few more, who’s someone you want to be like and why?

Lydia: Shannon Messenger. I really love the Keeper of the Lost Cites and just her writing in general, and that’s what I want to be when I grow up.

Mercy: That’s so cool.

Fred: What’s your favorite Bible verse?

Lydia: It’s a classic but I still love it. John 3:16, “For  God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Mercy: Awesome. Ok, anything else you want to say to the readers?

Lydia: Jesus loves you a bunch.

Fred: True.

Mercy: Alright, well thanks Lydia for coming and good to see you, Fred.

Lydia: Anytime!
