Announcing the 2023-24 T-Shirt Design Competition!

Hello everyone!

The TPS T-Shirt Design Competition is back!

  • Student artists and designers have the unique opportunity to design a T-shirt specifically for the TPS community, to be available for purchase as official TPS 2023-24 merch. We can’t wait to see your submissions!
  • Designs are due by November 6th.
  • The rules can be found below.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. Be sure to spread the word to your friends and classmates! Best of luck, and have fun!

Cara Pisani and Isabel Rogers
2023-2024 Senior Editors

Rules and Specifications:

  • Submissions should be high resolution 10×10 inch files for printing on the front center of the shirt or 4×4 inch files for printing below the shoulder where a pocket would be located (there will be no pocket on the T-shirt). File size should not exceed 5 MB. Applicants should retain their original design in an editable fashion in case changes are needed.
  • Ideally, the design should use only one color (a maximum of two colors is allowed) and must have a transparent background. Any color may be selected. If the designer can provide the PMS code for the color(s) used, more precision can be attained when printing.
  • The design will be printed on a Gildan cotton unisex t-shirt (available T-shirt colors for the background can be found here: https://www.gildan.com/us/en/color). Please specify if you would like your design to appear on a shirt of a particular color.
  • You may incorporate a screenshot of the TPS or clay logo into your design, as long as it is in a single color. TPS will provide the contest finalists with a logo file in the appropriate size/color for their design before the final entries are posted for voting.
  • PLEASE NOTE: All designs should be completely original to you or compiled from components that are clearly in the public domain and allowed to be reproduced (e.g. Clipart components). Submissions that do not meet these specifications will not be considered. Furthermore, we will only accept ONE submission per person.
  • All designs must be submitted by November 6. Any submissions we receive past the deadline will not be considered. The designs selected to advance to the final round will be posted, where TPS students can vote on their favorite. The winner will be announced before Christmas break.

TPS merch is sold through a third-party vendor. As a non-profit school, TPS waives all fees or royalties from the sales, to reduce the cost of each item for our students, families, and staff.

Please submit your design using the form below.

  15. Ooo question. Does the design have to be designed (haha sorry i dunno what word to put there) online, like on a computer or tablet, or can we hand draw it and upload it? I’m not a pro at photoshop and fancy digital things like that, so that’s why im asking xD

  16. I have a question: can I add color to my drawing or should the design be entirely black? 🙂

  20. I could convert it into a .jpeg, but that wouldn’t allow for transparency.

  21. can we submit a design created by AI?
