Meet Cora Roberts: Story Spotlight Columnist

Cora Roberts, being 14, in 9th grade and living in Taiwan, describes herself as extremely imaginative, outgoing, and a bit unusual. Before Taiwan, she lived in China and America, but she still says Taiwan is her favorite place she has lived. She has 3 younger siblings, and she loves to sing and act. Taking Biology and English 3 with TPS this year, she mentioned she was looking forward to both. With hobbies like writing, reading, drawing, watercolor, singing, acting, and playing the ukulele, she has a particular talent and love for writing.

When asked the question “if money was no object, what would you do all day?” She responds by saying she would go on a shopping spree for hats and notebooks and whatever else she could find to her liking in a stationery store. After shopping for her favorite things, she would spend her money on a really nice dinner with her family. As shown by wanting to bless her family with all that she can, she also remarks she has many eventful stories with them but one that particularly stood out was that they have been hiking in a typhoon. She commented that it was very wet.

Her favorite colors include red and green since she claims the best holiday is Christmas. She also enjoys spinach artichoke dip and fiction books. She looks up to her parents because they are encouraging people and are always trying new things for their entire family. With her favorite Bible verse being Psalm 107:1, she recites the verse for me: “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. For his steadfast love endures forever.” As she finished the interview, the last thing she said to me was “Merry Christmas to everyone who is reading.”
