Open Mic: Unjust by Maya Kidd

Unjust

Moments move without the care for what they leave behind

Only moving forward

Any objections? Oh, no matter.

Not one man can change the meaning of time

Or what he will leave behind.

Continually the seconds pass,

Minutes roll by,

No one can do anything.

Except let the sun set.

Silent is time in the way that it moves.

Not noisily, but softly it creeps.

Not bending its ways for any group

Not considered with what it may disrupt

Sometimes it moves just a little unjust.
