Meet Isaac Jo: Theology & Worldview Editor

Meet Isaac Jo, an eighteen year-old living in Massachusetts whos joins the clay staff this year for the second time as the Theology and Worldview Editor.

Entering his fifth year at TPS as a senior, Isaac will tackle College American Literature and Composition, having particularly enjoyed AP Calculus BC in the past. Even though Isaac is not entirely sure of his career path yet, he hopes to explore the field of engineering after graduation. As a homeschooler, he enjoys the lessened distraction and structure compared to a traditional environment. Despite finding noise grating while working, Isaac likes to play an instrumental tune to complement his tasks, finding silence monotonous.

After he finishes his schoolwork and clay responsibilities, Isaac entertains himself by creating modular origami, playing ultimate frisbee, completing math problems, and occasionally writing, when struck with inspiration. Outside of his home, he enjoys camping in Glacier National Park in Montana and Margaret Mills-Norrie State Park in New York, praising their beauty and remoteness which results in a quiet, peaceful environment. Although reading does not take up a significant amount of his time, Isaac appreciates “The Fog Horn,” a short story, and the Biblical book of Psalms. While not a massive movie-watcher, Isaac enjoyed Rogue One, providing brief, but compelling glimpses into the characters’ lives that he found inspirational for his own life.

Isaac has gravitated toward editing as an enjoyable part of the writing process for himself compared to the actual writing of nonacademic content, disliking the restricting deadlines as a meticulous writer. Drawn to the topics of Theology and Worldview, he particularly admires Augustine, having shaped fundamental parts of his worldview while also appreciating the work of R.C. Sproul and many of the Worldview Academy staff. Isaac will surely bring precision and care to his role as editor and aid the Theology and Worldview section in enriching the TPS community this year.
