clay’s Future Plans

Hello dear readers,

We regret to inform you that this is clay’s final year of publication.

Since its beginnings in 2017, readers have enjoyed countless articles, dutifully battled it out in support of one Round Robin team or the other, and bid many senior friends goodbye every May. However, over the years, clay has undergone several leadership changes, bringing new changes and ideas to the magazine each year.

As the current Senior Editors, it pains us to relay the news that clay will not be continuing after this year. We will both be graduating, and after a lengthy decision process, those in charge believe that it is in clay’s best interest to solidify the foundations of clay and of TPS by reducing leadership changes as much as possible to eliminate the constant shifts in policy that clay staff and readers must endure.

Thus, with all past Senior Editors having already graduated, we find ourselves balancing on the edge of a new era of possibility. While we, the current dictators Senior Editors, will be moving on from TPS in just a few short weeks, we encourage you all to continue the traditions we have long enjoyed here at clay. Though our beloved clay will be no longer, we urge you to keep its spirit alive so that the younger generations of TPSers may be well-educated in not only the matters of be-verbs and y=mx+b, but also in the ways of gummy bears, dictatorships, and intersectional warfare.

We are so grateful for the TPS community and clay’s dedicated readers, and we truly hope you understand this decision. Please enjoy clay‘s  final articles over the next few weeks.

Wishing you all the best in the future,
Mari Stanton and Julia Holmgren
