Clouds by Anonymous

Clouds creep along across the sky,
What a sight to see!
Changing shape in the blink of an eye–
I wonder what they’ll be.

In the park, a small boy shouts:
“A bear that climbs a tree!”
“But I see a lake with several trout,”
A girl whispers to me.

To my right, I hear a sigh.
“I don’t understand young teens,”
An older woman of perhaps eighty-five
Says that she sees the autumn leaves.

White and pink, golden and blue,
Big and small, fluffy and flat.
The many shapes, sizes, and hues
Open the door to see this and that.

A fish, a boat, a king and his crown.
A girl, a beast, a castle, the sea–
I know now what are the clouds;
They’re people’s creativity.
