A Note From TPS Student Leadership

Dear TPSers,

Community is the basis of civilization. Without the help of others, we would not have been able to connect the world through our words, nor could the great minds of times past and present have changed the world for the better. A community has the potential to build the dreams of this world into reality, or it can horribly scar the face of our history. Only those who choose to step up and help change the world for the better can decide which path history will take.

The TPS community is one of thousands that has the potential to grow into something that is both beautiful and world-changing. That is the purpose of clay, Fotia TPS Chapel, and TPS Forums. Behind the witty comments, devotionals, snazzy pictures, and joyful banter, we each want to change our lives and the lives of those around us for better. We want to be the school that raises the next Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr., or Mother Teresa. That is the purpose of TPS.

So come join us! Change our corner of this wonderful world. Become a part of the greater TPS community, and equip yourself to step out into this world to change it for the better.

Fotia Chapel is a TPS’s student-led, student-run ministry. We provide worship, Bible studies, testimonies, and articles. Our ministry combines traditional and contemporary elements, believing that blending the best of both connects the historical church to the present church and creates a more timeless worship experience. We provide both a weekly devotional and a weekly chapel service led by one of our dedicated staff members. We aim to encourage and build up through our words; all our messages and chapels are non-denominational, and every TPS student is invited to join and read. Additionally, we have a variety of options for students to publish their own devotionals, art, or music! Please check out our page at https://fotia.at-tps.org/

clay is TPS’s student e-zine and features work from over fifty TPS students at clay.at-tps.org. With articles encompassing art, literature, theology, current events, science, cartoons, and much more, clay’s talented writing and editing team will publish articles every month on a variety of subjects that will enthrall anyone. clay also features guest articles from TPS students and alumni–contact us if you are interested in submitting your own work! Be sure to also follow clay’s Facebook and Instagram pages for fun daily content from our PR team. Articles will be published every Monday, so be sure to check those out!

The TPS Forums is the place to meet others, whether classmates or not. All students have access to these forums through their StudyPlace page – just click the TPS Forums logo on the left. Discuss anything that suits your fancy with other like-minded individuals, from technology to books to sports and so much more. Post your writings, your art, your photography; commune with your peers. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming platform for all students to engage in conversation.

We hope you will consider joining us on one or all of these platforms and help build the TPS community.

Sincerely,
Julia Holmgren and Mari Stanton  / clay Senior Editors
