Meet Nathanael Choi: Film Columnist

Meet one of our newest members of the clay family, Nathanael Choi! This is Nathanael’s second year with TPS and first year with clay. As the film columnist for clay Nathanael says, “ I would like my readers to know that I will try to be as entertaining as possible and include only appropriate content. I know writing about films can sound pretty dry or secular in a sense, but I do hope that I can reflect God’s glory as well.” As the film columnist, a short list of Nathanael’s favorite films and tv shows include The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things, and Sherlock.
When he is not watching and analyzing films for the good readers of clay, Nathanael spends his time playing basketball and guitar, listening to some of his favorite musical artists like Switchfoot and NF, and hanging out with his friends. Nathanael has a close-knit missionary family who all currently reside in the Republic of Georgia. Once the COVID-19 pandemic cools off, he and his family plan to relocate to Armenia, where they will serve as missionaries.
Despite his passion for film, Nathanael also loves to spend his time reading. Some of his favorite books include The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment, The Grapes of Wrath, and The Remains of the Day. Along with his many scholarly activities, Nathanael is a very active young man and loves sports. He has been playing basketball his entire life and also loves to play soccer, baseball and volleyball. Nathanael is very excited to be a part of the clay family and is really looking forward to sharing and interacting with his readers about their shared passion of films.

  1. Great job, Nathanael! My sister is a HUGE fan of Sherlock (even though she’s only watched the first episode)!
