Meet Eliana Isom, a sixteen-year-old living in Minnesota, on the outskirts of the Twin Cities. This is her first year with clay, and she will be a Content Creator for clay’s Public Relations Team. She is excited to pour her creative energy into her work with clay and to work for TPS since she has been taking classes here for so long. Now in tenth grade, Eliana enters her fifth year with TPS and will be taking Psychology and Counseling, Pre-Calculus, Spanish 3, College U.S. History, College British Lit, and U.S. Government. Lord willing, Eliana wants to become a counselor to high schoolers or middle schoolers.
The perk Eliana enjoys most about TPS is being able to come to classes wearing her pajamas. Eliana is adopted and the youngest of four children, two boys ages twenty and nineteen, and a girl who is also sixteen. In her spare time, Eliana enjoys drawing, writing, and anything artistic. Reading brings her great joy, and her favorite books include The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Stormlight Archives, Mistborn, The Chosen, and To Kill A Mockingbird. Using three words, Eliana describes herself as funny, kind, and loyal.
Her favorite verse is John 11:35 which says, “Jesus wept.” At the age of ten, she picked this verse to memorize because it was short and easy, but as time went on, it became much more powerful and meaningful to her because it exemplifies Jesus’ compassion, mercy, and loving nature. If Eliana could eat one thing for the rest of her life, she would choose either chicken fettuccine, ramen, or pizza. If Eliana found a magical lamp and it granted her three wishes, her wishes would be for Jesus to come right now, a lifetime supply of pizza, and lastly, for her first cat, Desi, to be resurrected. To conclude, interviewing Eliana was a pleasure. She will be a great addition to clay!
