Silence.
Roads empty of cars.
Distance.
Don’t touch anyone.
Alone.
Stay away fourteen days.
Fear.
Don’t infect anyone.
Tears.
Loved ones disappear.
Sickness.
Don’t cough or sneeze.
Hope.
Curve is flattening.
Laughter.
Loved ones return.
Cure.
Life comes back.
Together.
Parties every fourteen days.
Close.
Embraces everywhere.
Sound.
Roads full of cars.

Meet the Author
How old are you?
I am seventeen years old.
Where do you live?
I live in Tyler, Texas, a city about two hours away from Dallas.
What classes are you taking with TPS?
I am taking Spanish Two with the awesome Señor Poortenga and U.S. Government & Economics with Mr. Mailand.
What’s your favorite thing about writing?
I love being able to express myself in words, and I really enjoy doing that in a creative way. I don’t always enjoy writing when its something that I have to do, but when I get to do it on my own time and in my own style, I enjoy it immensely!
Some fun facts:
I love reading, and generally I stay up way too late reading books like Anne of Green Gables.
I have three cats, one dog, and a fish.
Wow! This is incredible, and totally sums up all of our mixed-up COVID feelings.
Thanks Lilwen! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Yes, i agree with Lilwen! Gj Millie!
Thank you so much Oliver!

Thanks Isaac! I’m glad you enjoyed it so much!
This is really expressive. Thank you!
You’re welcome Julia!
Your writing is sooooo beautiful!!!!!
Awesome job!!!
Thank you Lucy! I love your name 😀
It’s from The Chronicles of Narnia lol.
I know….that’s why I like it lol
That’s me!
A big Narnia fan. (Especially the movies)
The books were really good, the movies…meh lol.
I like the first two movies, but not the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Yeah, that one was such a disappointment lol.
I think the movies are really good but I don’t like the books very much. It might be because I have eye issues though.
The books, I feel, are geared more towards younger readers, which reading them as a teen again made them less appealing , but they do present a really accurate picture of the Bible, and I like that aspect.
Yes, the Christian aspect is neat, for sure!
This is beautiful. Thank you, Millie. I especially love the line about parties every fourteen days. What a joyous picture of freedom and celebration after all of this!
Aww thanks Emmeline! I thought it was a good contrast to what is/was going on!
Good job, Millie!!! 🙂 I like that you ended this with relief, hope and joy – sometimes it can almost feel like the quarantine is going to go on FOREVER. xD It won’t though – it will end sometime, and then we will be able to go back to some semblance of our usual, normal activities. 🙂 And we will appreciate the ability to do so even more than we did before, because we will remember what it was like to not be able to. 😄
I totally agree Sofia!
This is beautiful Millie. Thanks for sharing!
Awww Thanks Tauriel!!
