Lord Voldemort (I mean David Chen) sits in his castle battlements, looking far into the distance while considering what his next move should be. Stymied by multiple enemies, he decides to retreat into his castle and partake in his favorite pastime: reading, which is a stark contrast to old days spent waging valiant battles on behalf of unjust causes.
As Lord Chen (I mean David Voldemort) descends to his library, he hears a fluttering noise. A white owl flies in through an open window and drops a letter, turning and flying away before Voldemort can catch it. Picking up the letter, Voldemort notices that it is a questionnaire. After some contemplation, he chooses to fill it out.
Sitting at of his many library desks, Voldemort scrawls his answers on the piece of paper:
State your name (or any nicknames!) If you have a nickname, explain where it originated from:
Daniel Chen, though a.k.a. Tom Marvolo Riddle on the TPS forums……
I AM LORD VOLDEMORT!!!!!!
How many years have you been with TPS, what grade are you, and how old are you:
It is complicated. I wish I knew for sure, but you can say that this is my second year in TPS, because I had another account a long time ago. My grade level is also in a bit of a frenzy, it’s hard to say, but you can write grade eight. I’m 14, but I like to consider myself a 15-year-old.
Something unexpected about you: I’m totally expected!!! You probably didn’t expect that.
List your hobbies:
Reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading, reading.
State your favorite Quote and Bible Verse:
I don’t like reading the Bible (sorry, but I read way too much for my own taste) but I have many favorite quotes to give! My favorite one is probably, ‘Little by little, one travels far.’ Tolkien said that.
If you could be an animal, tell us what you would be and why: Probably a goldfish, because I could forget what I’ve been through and move on.
What is something you would like to do one day and why: Ride a horse, because it seems great.
Given you had the opportunity, would you live underwater? Explain your answer: Nah, I’ll pass, me no son o’ Poseidon.
What is your favorite word and why: Tomorrow. The idea of it kinda like, you know, strengthens the me of today, you get it?
Extrovert/Introvert or MBTI type? I’m a social-happy dude, you know? I have lots of friends and I’m involved in many social activities.
If you could be a color, what color would you be and why? The color of arsenic. I specifically like that color because no one knows what it looks like.
What is your favorite movie and book? Why? My favorite movie is definitely Avengers: Endgame. Book? I love tons…it would be hard to pick a favorite.
Do you prefer dogs or cats? Why? Cats. I like their purrs, soft and gentle.
What is your favorite subject? English, because I’m that cool.
What’s your passion, and why do you enjoy it? Do you like fiction or non-fiction more? Reading. It helps me leave my current situation to play in the world of fairy-tales. As for the second question, both. One yields knowledge while the other grants me freedom from the body, to be in the mind alone.
Having finished, Voldechen rolls the finished questionnaire back into a scroll and throws it out the window. He hopes that the white owl would return it to whoever its master may be. He decides that this was the first step towards world domination. Staring out the window at the small scroll drifting in the wind, he whispers under his breath: “Little by little, one travels far.”
