GP6 Poetry Recital: November 30th

Clay‘s Arts and Culture Editor, Rachel Shey, is inviting you to participate in a fun evening of poetry!

“I’m hosting a poetry recital on November 30th at 8 PM EST in the GP6 Auditorium! If you’d like to come, just fill out this form.

I don’t have many rules, but just a reminder that I’d like everyone to keep it clean. Don’t use explicit language. This hasn’t been an issue with previous poetry recitals, so let’s keep it that way!

Besides that, everything else is fair game. Bible verses, hymns, poetry or songs from other languages, and poetry that you wrote yourself is not only allowed but encouraged!  It’s also perfectly fine to attend as a spectator and just listen, although I urge you to push yourself and turn on the mic!

I hope to see you there! Don’t forget, it’s at 8 PM EST on November 30th.”

  3. This sounds like fun! Can we bring a few more poems to recite if there is extra time?

  4. Yes, Joram is right. I just noticed that too. Message board says the 20th but this says the 30th.

  14. I’m so excited about this! What a gift to be able to share beauty in a group setting despite time and location differences. One question: Does the poetry need to be recited, or can we read it? Also, I entered planning on two poems because it isn’t specified, but is it ok to do more than one?
