Editor’s Note: New Beginnings

Welcome to clay Magazine.

In 2017, The Cracked Pot was rebranded as clay. Since then, several amazing senior editors have pioneered a number of developments that have made this publication the wonder that it is today. As the torch is passed to the two of us, it’s difficult to see how we could possibly improve this publication any more. But that’s the beauty of a new beginning—we have a new staff, new ideas, and new circumstances to which we’ll need to adapt, which will inevitably lead to upgrades in clay. Each month, we will be inspired by our staff members to continue creating, and it will be interesting to see where clay moves throughout the year. We can’t wait to work through every moment of this.

We are overwhelmed by the support we have received already and so excited to present this new season of publishing to you. After all, clay wouldn’t exist without its heart: the TPS community. All of you keep this going, from those who volunteer to join our staff, to those who send kind comments, to those who simply read an article or two per month. We would not have a reason to exist without you.

With that in mind, we can’t wait to show you everything in store for this year. We have an all-star lineup of contributors who will be sharing their work weekly, so be sure to keep checking our website for your favorite content.  Also, keep an eye out for special events, as we’ll have several fun activities throughout the year. In addition, we’re always looking for new inspiration and thought-provoking articles, so we love when you choose to write guest articles for us. Just contact our Open Mic editor at openmicclay@gmail.com to be published on clay.

Once again, we are so happy and blessed to lead clay through this new chapter and can’t wait to see where this publication goes this year.

Sincerely,

Leanne and Cassie
