Faith, more commonly known among the school as Berry Pi or Fairy, is 18 and a graduating senior. She is also a very competitive tennis player and loves all things artistic/creative. Her favorite artist (when I say favorite I mean that’s all she listens to) is the Ben Rector. If you haven’t heard of him, Faith insists that you go listen to his music right now before continuing.
She has been taking classes from TPS for five years and will always have fond memories of the school and all of the amazing people she met. Out of all of the classes she has taken, Algebra 2 (honors) 2016-2017 with Mrs. K has been her favorite. She says, “I never knew how fun math could be until I took it with the Benevolent Dictator, Mrs. K.”
As for Faith’s plans after graduating from high school, she will be attending a local community college for a year and then will be attending the UTHSC Nursing School Class of 2022!
She will miss TPS dearly, but it will always have a special place in her heart.
Number of Years Taking TPS Classes: 5
“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss
Often times in the business of life, we forget to appreciate the small moments–the ones that don’t seem that important. This quote inspires and reminds me to soak in the small moments before they become distant memories.
Favorite Bible Verse:
1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'”
In my hardest days, when school is weighing me down and the stress of life is taking over, this verse gives me comfort. It reminds me that this earth is not my home, but only a place of temporary residence. Our merciful God has prepared a perfect place, no man has seen, where we can rest eternally with Him.
Advice to the Younglings of TPS:
Never give up. I know the stress of homework and the weekly due dates can be disheartening, but believe me when I tell you that it’s worth it. It’s worth avoiding procrastination. It’s worth staying up late or waking up early to edit a paper. TPS is one of a kind and we are all blessed to be able to be a part of it.
