TPS Seniors 2019

Ellie Borduin: TPS Senior 2019

When people ask Ellie about herself, she says that she is a Worldian, homeschooler and most importantly, a Christian. Being raised in a Christian family, she came to know the Lord at 3 years old and strives to please Him with her life. Because of her dad’s job, she has moved 14 times in her 18 years including living overseas in Singapore, Brazil, Venezuela and Indonesia. Living overseas was the best experience of her life and she feels like although she doesn’t belong to any one country, she is at home in them all . She had the opportunity to visit 20 other countries and has a life goal of visiting every continent…four down, three more to go! To this day Ellie still has wanderlust, which will likely never be cured. Ellie has been a proud homeschooler all her life. It has given her the chance to pursue her interests, have an excellent Christian education and form strong friendships with her siblings aka best friends. She joined TPS in the 10th grade when she heard about their Intro to Nursing class and continued with TPS for the rest of high school. After taking that nursing class Ellie felt called to pursue a career in nursing. As the oldest child in the family, Ellie deeply desired to succeed to pave a way for her younger siblings. It took a lot of work but it paid off. In the fall, Ellie will be attending Baylor University, her dream school, majoring in nursing. Whatever the future holds, she trusts God has a perfect plan for her life.

Favorite Quote:
My favorite quote is something every TCK can relate to:
You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than on place. ~ Miriam Adeney
Favorite Bible Verse:
Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
Advice to the Younglings of TPS:
Work hard, be proud of who you are and never stop trusting God. If you follow His will for your life, you will be forever blessed.

  1. Ellie! I’m doing nursing too and I was seriously considering Baylor(My siblings go there) How crazy would that have been if we were both there?! Good luck with everything!

    • Thats so cool! Good luck in nursing school. Who are your siblings? I know several Baylor kids, maybe I even know them!

  2. Yay, Ellie! So fun to see you here and to learn more about your life!

  3. Woah. You are beautiful. And nursing is definitely a gift that not everyone can do, so good for you. I’m sure if that’s what you want to pursue, you must really have a huge heart and be very strong. (Two traits I feel like are constant in people who feel called to the medical field).

  4. You are beautiful.

I seriously think I’ve seen you at a conference somewhere. (Weird.)

I love that verse. And the saying.

Your faith in God is beautiful. It just glows around you. Never leave it. God has a great plan for you, I am sure.

  5. It has been such a blessing to get to know you over the years! I know you’re going to do amazing things at Baylor. Best of luck, and please, keep in touch! 🙂
