When people ask Ellie about herself, she says that she is a Worldian, homeschooler and most importantly, a Christian. Being raised in a Christian family, she came to know the Lord at 3 years old and strives to please Him with her life. Because of her dad’s job, she has moved 14 times in her 18 years including living overseas in Singapore, Brazil, Venezuela and Indonesia. Living overseas was the best experience of her life and she feels like although she doesn’t belong to any one country, she is at home in them all . She had the opportunity to visit 20 other countries and has a life goal of visiting every continent…four down, three more to go! To this day Ellie still has wanderlust, which will likely never be cured. Ellie has been a proud homeschooler all her life. It has given her the chance to pursue her interests, have an excellent Christian education and form strong friendships with her siblings aka best friends. She joined TPS in the 10th grade when she heard about their Intro to Nursing class and continued with TPS for the rest of high school. After taking that nursing class Ellie felt called to pursue a career in nursing. As the oldest child in the family, Ellie deeply desired to succeed to pave a way for her younger siblings. It took a lot of work but it paid off. In the fall, Ellie will be attending Baylor University, her dream school, majoring in nursing. Whatever the future holds, she trusts God has a perfect plan for her life.
You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than on place. ~ Miriam Adeney
