Hello TPS!
The GP6 Music Competition Committee is excited to announce our chosen finalists! Listed below are the seven pieces that have made it into the final round. It is now your responsibility and right as a GP6 citizen to listen to these songs, and then vote on the piece that you feel would make GP6 a nice place to be for the next year.
The four most voted songs will be played on rotation on GP6 for the rest of the school year. Let’s try and make this a really big event! Share the poll with your friends, classmates, and even teachers! Voting closes on March 15th.
Happy voting!

I had such a hard time choosing! Good job, all!
Oh goodness these are so good!
It won’t play: Good Dog by Tyler Tewell
Sooooo….. never mind….. 😛
I loved Good Dog :D. Tyler and I are in the same classroom!!! 😀
Wowwww amazing job everyone! That was such a tough decision and I really enjoyed listening to everyone’s music! I’m so looking forward to who will win! =D
Wowwwww! Everyone did really awesome! Hard to decide!!!! Good Luck and Great Job!!!
Yes!! The song was amazing!!
Oops sorry. That was supposed to be reply another comment.
Honestly, I loved Hello I’m New at This.
The guitar is amazing!
Me too!!! I mean… they were all great, but I really liked this one also!!
Me too!
I have a question: I can’t listen to some of them, little error messages come up. I can’t hear Life of a Sun Ray, Chopin Nocturne, or Good Dog. I want to vote but can’t fairly without hearing ALL of the songs. 😀 🙂
I actually ended up voting without hearing all the songs~ sorry! but I wanted to vote before the voting polls were closed.
me to 🙁
I had this problem as well.
dude I’m with you! It was definently the best.
The accordian one for the memes pls
I don’t wanna hear that every time I enter a classroom. xD
I had the page for 5 hours before choosing, can’t wait to hear the winning track played!
Wow! So hard to choose! Awesome job ya’ll!
btw, the Ulysses Grants Wishes tag was the best 😉
Thanks Jenna. =) Jacey liked it too! xDD
Amazing job everyone!! You guys are so talented
But WOOOWWW the Arabesque!! Good job Hannah–that is like my absolute favorite piece on piano It’s so beautiful
I totally agree! My vote is for you!
Julia! I didn’t Know you did TPS!
Whoops didn’t mean to post that here. Sorry
Hello Emma. *waves*
Thanks! 😀
Wow..just wow…you guys, all of these were soooo good! You are all seriously talented.
All of these are great. I especially like Take Away.
This is some great music!! Everyone did an amazing job! I can’t wait for the new installments?.
I liked Take Away the best but they were all very good!
Wow! 28 comments already in the first day !! ?
Is there any way you can save these songs, so you can listen to them when this is gone?
This page will remain on clay after voting has closed, so you can always come back and listen to them :).
Jake? are you by any chance related to Lecrae Moore?
#SOhappythattherewon’tbejustonesongonGP6! Can’t wait to see who wins!
Agreed!!
Wow! Amazing job everyone!
Great music! Nice job everyone!
so I voted but I changed my mind anyone know if I can change my vote
Hi Quinn! Unfortunately, you cannot change your vote. We have hundreds of votes at this point, and it would just be too hard to keep track of your changed vote. Sorry about that! Keep in mind that there will be 4 winners, so you may very well get to hear your first choice as well. =)
There will be four winners??? Like the top four songs get picked and are rotated or something like that? Sorry~I’m a little confused! I thought there would only be one winner! 😀
Yep!
“The four most voted songs will be played on rotation on GP6 for the rest of the school year.”
Cool!
Can multiple people vote on one email?
Hi Megan! We’d prefer not, sorry about that. The reason the email is a required field is to verify that there are multiple people voting.
Life of a Sun and Good Dog are my favs! Besides Tyler and I are in the same classroom! 😀
We vote at the bottom of the page. There is the list of songs with little circles next to them, like the automated tests at TPS. We clicked the circle next to the song we choose, put our name and email in the boxes below, and click submit.
How do we vote for a song?
Sorry~I posted the answer to this question above!

Ok, I don’t see any songs with little circles at the bottom of the page.
Wow these are awesome!
YES THEY ARE!!!!! Everyone’s hard work shows in the songs! Thanks guys for giving us these great selections to choose from!
These are so amazing! Great work everyone!
How do I pick?!?! Outstanding work you guys!
And by the way, does anyone know how to change their design to a picture of their own choice?
Hey Reister, the voting closes on March 15th so i am guessing soon after that.
Through forums.
No actually – you have to have a wordpress account.
I believe it’s a gravatar account. Use the email linked to your gravatar account.
(haha why mine isn’t displaying, apparently.)
Wait, you have to have a wordpress account to see the results?
No. They were talking about how to change your profile pic. 🙂
Ahh, just realized that. *duhh*??
Oops. I’m dumb.
When do we hear who the winner is?
All seven songs should be winners.
They should announce the winners sometime after March 15, when the voting closes…
They voting won’t close till after the 15th, so there isn’t any winner yet, but they’ll announce it on another article I’m guessing.
Oops, sorry, that was supposed to be in answer to Bella.
They were all amazing but the accordian was definently my favorite. Where can I find out which one won?
How do you know if your vote is submitted? There is no submit button.
There is a submit button on the bottom of the page.
I like Alisha Wong’s the most.
Aww thank you guys hahaha
oof that was supposed to be reply underneath Millie Rose and Levi.
*awkward* But yes I agree that Alisha’s song is amazinggg.
I love Rose Zhang’s piano piece! It was sooo beautiful
I’m with you on that!!! It was the best! Though they were all really nice.
Chopin wrote amazing music, but it takes a great pianist like Rose to bring it to life!!
There is no submit button there for me or anywhere on the page except for the subscribe option.
Do you see the name and email blanks under the options?
There should be an orange “submit” button under the email field.
Yes, I see the name and email blanks and I filled them out along with my vote, however there is no orange or any other colored submit button.
Ok, I’m sorry about that. If you’d like to email newgp6music@gmail.com with your name and the name of the song you’d like to vote for, that would work too. =)
Too hard to pick! I think we’ll all be happy with whatever wins!
the accordion one was awesome
these are all really great songs!
Here’s what I’m wondering. What’s changed that we’re able to do this? Ever since I started with TPS in 2011 students have been campaigning to change the meeting software’s background music, and it was never an option as TPS did not own or control what GatherWorks did with their software. Why now?
That is a v good question :joy:
I mean, they managed to change the music to “Sing the Distance Away” a while ago, so I assume they managed to persuade? GW to do something. Anyway, it’s a great change imo
? :joy: I guess we’re just used to GP6 and having to use colons every time for emojis!!
When will the results be posted?
Sometime after March 15.
These are all amazing! Can’t see who wins 🙂
Woah! These are so good! I especially liked “Good Dog.” Good luck to all of the finalists
me 2!
Ahhhh these are all super good!!! I can’t wait to see who wins!! I’m pretty sure no matter who wins, I’ll love it ?
Everybody did an absolutely outstanding job! Can’t wait to see the results!
These songs are gr8!!
can’t wait to see who wins!
When will the winners be announced? after voting closes?
can we vote next year?
where do we find who won?
I guess they will announce it in Clay? or perhaps Forums
They have already installed two pieces that keep switching off for GP6 music yesterday….I think that we’ll just hear the top four as they get put on for classroom music. If you go in a classroom, they’re playing Rose’s Chopin and Good Dog on rotation so far.
An official announcement is coming soon! =)
For those that are wondering:
Rose Zhang’s “Nocturne,” Tyler Tewell’s “Good Dog,” Nyah Dufek’s “Take Away,” and Alisha Wong’s “Hello I’m New To This” made it in.
Except GP6 killed the quality of all of them rip ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
😛
My name got messed up… I had to write another comment with the right name…… 😛
Ha-ha-ha!!
I can’t hear some of the songs… It says “error” or it just doesn’t play at all.
Rose and Hannah, you two are such amazing pianists!!
