ALYSSA KRUG: Hello.
H: Ok… Basic stuff first: What is your age, grade, and location?
A: I’m 16 and a junior, and I live on the frozen tundra (aka Wisconsin).
H: How many siblings do you have?
A: Two, both younger: a brother and a sister.
H: Do you have any pets?
A: Me, no. My sister, yes. She has two gerbils.
H: Hm… How many years have you been with TPS?
A: Three. Every year gets better than the last.
H: So this is your 3rd year?
H: What classes are you taking this year?
A: Physics, Latin 3, and English 4/5/6: Advanced Composition.
H: Cool. What’s your favorite subject?
A: Gahhh that’s tough… For TPS, either Latin 3 because Latin’s awesome, or English because my classmates are AMAZING
H: Do you have a second language?
A: No, but I’d love to speak either Latin or French fluently.
H: What extracurriculars do you do?
A: I’m doing speech, team policy debate, orchestra (I play oboe), and taekwondo.
H: Ooh. What are some of your hobbies?
A: *sifts through all her hobbies*
A: Reading, journaling, listening to music, playing the oboe, and talking to friends.
H: Favorite books, movies, and music?
A: Don’t do this to me!
A: Favorite book (at present): The Book Thief. I’m looking forward to reading The Chosen soon
H: Ooh. The Chosen is amazing.
A: Favorite music: video game remixes (particularly older ones, I’m weird), TobyMac, For King and Country, and NF occasionally.
A: I don’t watch movies often, though The Incredibles is AMAZING.
H: What is the most amazing place you’ve ever visited?
A: Probably either Crater Lake or Glacier National park.
H: What would your perfect Christmas day be like?
A: One that’s super chill–where there’s no stress about extended family and stuff, because I have a lot of little cousins that are all around the 3-6 age range that need a lot of attention.
Insert coffee break. (Note: No coffee was consumed during this break, although some lunch was.)
A: Were there any other questions you wanted to ask me?
H: Pick a number 1-5 inclusively.
H: Ok. Describe yourself in 3 words (if you had said 1…).
A: 1. complicated
A: 2. following
A: 3. learner
A: That probably made NO sense whatsoever.
H: Hm… following?
A: Like following Jesus,
H: Ah. Follower maybe?
A: Yeah, that’s better.
H: What are some of your future plans?
A: In the near future, I want to go to Eagle Lake next summer! In the far future, I want to go to college for some sort of degree in humanities/liberal arts. And right now, I want to survive high school?
H: Heh. What is one thing you love and one thing you hate?
A: I love my brother. He is my best friend EVER I’m not even kidding, and I LOATH boxed mac and cheese.
H: What are some items on your bucket list?
A: I want to skydive and go to Europe.
H: Ooh. What’s your favorite color?
H: Ok. I think that’s about it! Thanks!
A: Awesome! Thanks!
