Delights of the Seasons

God’s sprinkling of snowflakes on your front lawn

The delight of one unique creation landing on the tip of your nose

The frosty fingers and the blue toes

The dragon breath

Open your eyes to the splendor and delight of winter.

With the start of each new day and the smell of morning dew

Warm sheets rustling like the burning sugars of spinning cotton candy

Children’s bursts of laughter and the first smile of the new life

Favorite tunes flowing from the old radio in the kitchen

Open your eyes to the small surprises of spring.

The smell of the pink kissed watermelon on your lips

The white sunscreen caped noses on the sandy beaches

The blazing sun bronzing even the most sensitive skin

Laughing with old friends

Open your eyes to the joy and happiness of summer.

It’s the rusty colored leaves to jump in

The wind blowing kisses on faces

The business of a typical day

The cozy sweaters

Open your eyes to the beauty of fall.
