Halloween Dessert Recipes

Witch’s Brew Brownies

  • One box brownie mix + ingredients listed on the back of box
  • Leftover Halloween candy (if you’re making these brownies before the Halloween, M&M’s, Kit Kats, Reese’s, or any candy will do!)
  • Candy eyes

  • Mix the boxed brownie mix according to instructions on the box.
  • Pour the brownie mix into a pan and top with whatever candies you’re using.
  • Bake according to package instructions.
  • Add edible eyes as soon as the brownies come out of the oven.

Slow Cooker Halloween Hot Chocolate

  • ½ gallon of whole milk
  • One tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • One 12-oz bag of Ghiradelli white chocolate wafers
  • 2 cups candy corn OR a few drops of orange food coloring (if you don’t like candy corn)

  • In a 3-quart or other larger slow cooker, add milk, heavy cream, vanilla, candy corn [or orange food coloring] & chocolate wafers.
  • Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2 ½ hours, stirring occasionally until the mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted.
  • Stir again before serving.

Halloween Cream Cheese Swirled Brownies:

  • One box brownie mix
  • 2-4 eggs (depending on your box mix)
  • Butter (replace oil with butter–amount specified on box)
  • milk (replace water with milk–amount specified on box)
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • orange food coloring

  • Prepare brownie mix, following box directions—add one extra egg than your mix calls for. Replace water with milk and replace oil with melted butter.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, one egg, and food coloring until smooth and desired color.
  • Pour brownie mix into a greased pan.
  • Add spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie mix.
  • Use a butter knife to swirl batters together. Pull knife through batter until the desired look is achieved.
  • Bake according to box directions or until a knife stuck in the center comes out clean.

Goosebumps Punch:

  • 3 liters of lemon-lime Soda
  • 12 drops of green food coloring
  • One package of rainbow sherbet
  • plenty of gummy worms

  • Combine cold lemon-lime soda and food coloring in a large punch bowl and stir
  • Add in scoops of sherbet until the package is empty.
  • Add gummy worms to the mixture—as many as you’d like—but save some to garnish the cup with!

Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookie Bars (this recipe makes 24):

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • One teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • One teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour

For Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Two tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • sprinkles (pumpkin shaped sprinkles would be fun!)

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 9×13 pan with non-stick baking spray.
  • Beat the butter and sugars until creamy. Add in the egg and pumpkin and beat again.
  • Stir together, in a separate bowl, the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, baking powder, salt, and flour. Slowly add to the pumpkin mixture until everything is mixed well. Spread in the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 19-20 minutes. Remove and cool completely.
  • For the frosting, beat the butter until creamy. Add the marshmallow fluff and salt. Beat again.
  • Slowly add the powdered sugar and whipping cream and stir until everything is mixed well. Beat on high speed for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy. Spread on top of the cooled bars. Top with sprinkles.
