Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Gabriel Brown, a junior who will write the Guys’ Spotlight column for clay magazine this year. Born on May 21 of an unspecified year in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gabriel has lived in many different places over the course of his lifetime, including New Mexico, New York, Germany, Alabama, and Colorado. Gabriel has an ISTJ personality type with an ENTJ leaning, according to the MBTI test. Currently living near St. Louis, Missouri, Gabriel hopes to join the FBI and possibly the Air Force as an adult. At the moment, however, he has his focus on succeeding in his column as well as his classes: U.S. Military History, Advanced Composition, Physics, Spanish 2, and AP Calculus AB.
Guys’ Spotlight includes one biography per month about one of the many guys at TPS. With these articles, TPSers can get to know each other better, and make good friends during the craziness of school. When not interviewing his schoolmates, Gabriel enjoys reading books such as the Sherlock Holmes series, the Agatha Christie books, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as watching the Sherlock television show. As for movies, Gabriel prefers the Lord of the Rings collection and Inception. Gabriel enjoys music from NF, Skillet, Hamilton, Imagine Dragons, and Twenty-One Pilots as well as playing sports such as soccer and baseball. Romans 13:12, his favorite Bible verse, says, “The night is far gone, the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light” (ESV). This verse shares a message of hope, as does Gabriel’s favorite quote from Sherlock Holmes: “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” Students of TPS, please welcome your Guys’ Spotlight columnist: Gabriel Brown!
